alright, due to the nature of me suffering from severe short-term memory loss, i need to get some things out first.

Allen, thanks for the PSP video converter! Now i'm no longer confined to just listening to songs and playing games. I can watch Russell Peters!

I didnt know that friendster did away with the testimonial thing, so now anybody can leave a comment behind. jeez. what if somebody leave an undesirable comment for you and you dont get to login for a few days at least, as with my case. So tze, thanks for the heads-up.

all the best to Josiah, who's going for 2nd SSLC. 6 weeks of nonsense.

DoTa show-down between RHIBs Team 2 and RHIBs Team 1.
good thing Max decided to stay with us Team 2 instead of following Team 1. If he gets to team up with Zhi Cao. Good Game.

Naturally, I got owned. but who cares. all in the name of fun.

had dinner with P at Kobayashi. never going there again. i think it's probably a cheap rip-off for some other Jap restaurant, whose name eludes my brain now. the food is tasteless. i didnt even get choked by the wasabi.

anyway, later on the mrt train home
P: Jeff.
Me: Ya? Wassup?
P: Shut up.
Me: What the.. I didnt even say anything!
P: You just did. So shut up.
Me: ......
P: Stop mumbling.
Me: (wtf)

so i thought since we had a "conversation" started, i might as well carry on.

Me: I realised i kept receiving emails from Friendster about some dating thingy.
P: I know. I signed you up for that.
Me: For what? Siao ah?
P: I just wanna see what kind of idiots will wanna go out with you.

With that, P smacked her palm against her forehead.

Me: You realise you just jacked yourself pretty badly right?
P: Yes! I know! So SHUT UP!

and the whole train stared at me. the rest of the passengers must be thinking, "Why is the girl keep telling the guy to shut up?"
but i think the correct question should be, "Why is the girl keep telling the guy to shut up when he didnt say anything?"

so moral of the story? i'm not the only one with access to my Friendster account.

Law is my saviour. He helped my finish that difficult GTA mission. The one with the stupid helicopter thingy. i think i'm finally going to finish the entire game.

speaking of which, had a GTA multiplayer session with Sherman.
me hiding behind a wall and once in a while come out to sneak some shots at sherman with my pistol. and sherman on some kind of tower pinning me down with an AK-47.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! (me reloading my pistol)
and i flew half a block away.
dammit. sherman used a rocket launcher and almost pwned me. sneaky fellow.

joke of the day.
the whole bunk was preparing to sleep when A and B starting quarrelling over some nonsense i cant remember.
then B said: A, shut up or i'll square you away!
Me: Both of you shut up or i'll CIRCLE the both of you away!
A: Both of you shut up or i'll up down left right circle circle triangle square square L1 R1 you all!

non-console players will not understand what just happened.

and i thought to myself, "Why the hell not?"

Gentlemen, time to SUIT UP! We're going to WAR!

had a real long chat with ZH the other day about relationships that kinda nade me somehow feel as though i'm not really ready for it.

If I tell P that, she'll probably just drag me straight into a slaughterhouse. :-)

so I'll just learn to keep my mouth shut.

True learning takes energy, passion and a burning desire. Anger is a big part of that formula, for passion is anger and love combined.

Life's a little foggy, a little soggy. Life can be so randomly beautiful.

oh crap. i keep suffering from this short-term memory loss thing. i cant seem to remember just what i want to do but i just keep FORGETTING.

and I'm also an STC now. yea. wow. whatever.

got dragged around singapore by P. tiring.

and happened to saw SJ. yea. wow. whatever.

and this nagging headache at the back of my head. a pain which i cant explain. arrghh.
panadol's not working.

Something's wrong with my laptop's sound card. that is bad.

We've got the dreamers' disease.

Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing twice and expecting different results.

Maybe I need a splash of mercy.

Stupidity is failing and accepting it.

I lied, I cheated, and I lied some more.

And it is through thus that i come to understand, and maybe even realise the fragility of man's sanity.

I suddenly see why she means so much to me. =)

a few days ago, i watched the movie "Dawn Anna". i think everybody MUST watch that. it's really really touching. a sad, tragic movie.

am i creating a substitute reality to escape from certain actual reality?

Wars are not rational acts. They are not begun by rational men. They're begun by people who don't care about the people they rule, who're willing to get their fellow men killed for their own narrow purposes. Fools or geniuses, you only had to understand what they were doing, not why. The what might not make sense, but if you knew it, you also knew what had to be stopped. One cannot fear everything, but to fear nothing is imprudent.

"Yesterday This Day's Madness did prepare;
Tomorrow's Silence, Triumph or Despair:
Drink! for you know not whence you came, nor why:
Drink! for you know not why you go, nor where."
wow. cant believe it.

money has been flowing out of my wallet like water..

i only vaguely remembered spending a huge amount of money a few days ago. and the problem is i cant remember what did i spend it on and HOW MUCH did i spend.

then cafe cartel and haagen dazs yesterday.

casuarina curry for today's breakfast.

and so far the most expensive luxury item i've bought. a $80 polo cologne. (psp is not a luxury, it's a necessity)

Hey alvin, dont worry i know how it feels to be blocked on msn. heh. same thing happened to me too.

anyway, it's good to see everybody again. well, maybe not norman. he's kinda ah... never mind, words fail me.

so psp = mobile porn device?

i feel damned full with the great burger and the iced belgian mocha. think i'm gonna explode soon.

and thanks to alvin for the ride. when i get my license, i'll drive you back. in a van. if you dont mind.

calvin and suzie sitting on a tree.

I just love calvin and hobbes.

quite amazing norman can actually find love through friendster. maybe i should try too.

just found the LAST ferrero rocher in my fridge. and it's mine. it's gonna melt in my mouth, and not in my hand.

went candy empire at vivo again. since gary returned from his operation, he wanted to spend money because he didnt get to spend any while recuperating at the hospital. was tempted to get the willy wonka choc and try it out. ended up getting the liquer choc, the one with irish cream as filling.

then we tried the flight simulator. and i crashed. i was only a few meters from the damned runway. wasted my $4.

reason i can stay up so late tonight is i've applied leave tomorrow. today was such a tiring day. however, i'm not gonna sleep in. i'll go cycling tomorrow.

i've also finally gave up playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. it kinda gets boring to just run around and kill people just because the missions are way too difficult for me.

i finished the Sonic the Hedgehog game in ONE day.

so now i'm playing the Miami Vice game. interesting. very gory too. now just waiting for ben to pass me more psp games.

"Be a man! Do the RIGHT thing!"

do the right thing? i'm not gonna pay $30 for a slice of pizza! i'll spank you for that!
so just leave me alone.

last sunday had dinner at fish & co. first time trying the seafood platter. kinda HUGE portions. even the two of us also cant finish.

what's the difference between an ang-mo fairy tale and a hokkien fairy tale?
ang-mo fairy tale starts like this:
Once upon a time...
hokkien fairy tale starts like this:
Lim pei ka li gong...

Perhaps it never really occurred to anybody that what you did (or said) might actually be very hurtful. perhaps even to the point that it spoiled whatever image I had.
It wasnt just heartbreaking, maybe it's a little heartwrenching too..

Somehow today feels like a lucky day for me. played GTA for 7hrs straight. now i'm having blisters on my thumbs. :-)
anyway the point is, i managed to find the Zodiac boat! took me three months but I finally found it under the bridge linking to the Leaf Link Golf Range! which was actually a fluke too. 'cos i was driving around in a cab when i mounted the curb and kinda got stuck on the fence, so i got out of the cab and wanted to jump onto the cab so that the rear wheels will touch the ground and become un-stuck. but i jumped too far and ended up falling all the bloody way into the sea.

oh well.

i'm kinda proud of myself too. killed a mosquito in my room just now. maybe i can finally sleep peacefully.

everyone is equal, but some are moer equal that others. when i work no one cares, when i rest everyone stares.

oh crap.

my brain works really really slow.

yesterday on the train i saw this girl boarding the train at the yishun station. i kinda find her familiar. for me, it was another case of deja vu, and so somehow i kept staring at her and hoping it might ring a bell somewhere. a bell did ring, but it wasnt very clear. i know it was rude since the girl was also giving me the annoyed look.

anyway, the thing is, it took me all the way till NOW to remember that i actually DO know her and not just a simple case of deja vu!

she's samantha!! my upper secondary classmate!!
no wonder she dont recognise me. because we kinda fell out over the stupid door knob accident, which really really wasnt my fault at all.

i was just going through my wallet and i found a few interesting things. firstly, i found a neoprint, two actually, the other time when we guitar club folks went out and took the pictures together. it's all faded and some of the colour has actually got stuck on the plastic screen of my wallet. just like what i told emily last night, those were good days.

secondly, i found that i am suffering the exact same problem as ricky! i have more receipts than dollar notes! damn! i'm running a budget deficit here. negative Balance of Payments. spent way too much last month. somehow i keep forgetting that i have to pay for my driving lessons, so that kinda reduced spending power for each month. oh well, pay day is coming in three days' time.

"Gratitude is a disease of the dogs."
~Iosif Vissarionovich Stalin

on a totally different note though, many thanks to everybody who remembered my birthday. some of you actually had to remind me that it was my birthday. had it not for you guys, i'd probably have just spent it like any other day. which i still did actually.

thanks to michelle too for chatting with my all the way till around 1am plus while i was on duty. i was close to falling asleep. i just might end up doing what mr bean did with toothpicks and his eyes.

great chatting with tze too. although the sea breeze on my side must had sounded like a sea hurricane or sea typhoon. we gotta meet up soon.

currently hooked on reading Tom Clancy's novels. but after i'm done with his Jack Ryan novels, think i'll try stephen king.

The difference between a wise man and a fool is the magnitude of his mistakes. You don't trust a fool with anything important. But a wise man you do. and so the fool doesn't have the chance to make a big screwup, while a wise man can.

Monday, April 2, 2007

oh yea. i just turned 20. the big TWO-ZERO.

big deal. and according to Josiah, it's the end of my teens since my age is without a "teen" behind it.

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain.
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue.
Someday I'll know why I'm not meant for you.

I wanna buy a ticket to the end of the rainbow.
To see the stars crash into the seas.
And if I can ask God just one question,
it'll be, "Why can't I be the one for you?"

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings! Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"

I must be going crazy to quote Shelley...

oh well, Hakuna Matata!

anyway, life is such a strange thing, so permanent when one had it, so fleeting when it was lost -- and those who lost it could never tell you what it was like.

Sunday, April 1, 2007

thanks to julia for reminding me last night that my birthday is coming tomorrow. that i'll be turning 20 tomorrow.

so i went to check today's newspaper to see whom i'll be celebrating my birthday with.

Giacomo Casanova
(18th-century Italian guy labelled the World's Greatest Lover, born April 2, 1725)
In today's politically correct terms, however, he'd be the World's Greatest Pervert Who Keeps Hitting On Women.

Come on. WTF.

forget it. i know it's a cold morning, but i'm gonna go have some Ben & Jerry's.
Cookies n Cream
